What is a doula, anyway? A doula is simply a woman (sometimes a man, but usually a woman) who provides emotional, physical, and informational support to an expectant, laboring, or new mother. (Did ya catch all that?)

There are three kinds of doulas: a labor doula (she helps you during childbirth), an antepartum doula (she helps women on bedrest or those needing support during pregnancy itself), and a postpartum doula (she helps after the baby is born).

I hope you'll click around above to learn more about doulas. Grab a cup of herbal tea and stay awhile, won't ya?
