Want to Know More about Me, Rachel Gurevich?

Aw, you're so sweet! I'm blushing.

Well, in short, I'm a stay at home mother to two wonderful, homeschooled boys. My first child's birth was, let's say, less than ideal. (If you'd like to read about it, you can in the excerpt of my book, The Doula Advantage, at Amazon.com.) It was his birth that jump started my interest in doulas, and oh, how I wish I knew about doulas before! I had a doula for my second son's birth, and I would never do it any other way. HUGE difference.

I'm also a professional writer, and I've written two books (as you know!) about doulas, The Doula Advantage and FabJob Guide to Become a Doula. Both doula books have been included in a number of doula training and certification programs around the world, and I'm honored to have the books regarded so highly.

Besides childbirth, I also write about infertility for About.com.
